Joe Rogan reveals he’s scared of international politics

In the recent episode #1912 of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, the podcaster invited the TV personality famous for hunting and fishing, Steve Rinella, to the show. As expected, the podcast discussion touched on a multitude of topics. However, given the Brittney Griner situation, they could not steer away from a discussion.

This was when the famed UFC commentator revealed one of the few things that scared him. He said, “International politics scares the sh*t out of me. With this Brittney Griner trade for that arms dealer scares the sh*t out of me.”

Following Rogan’s lead, Rinella disclosed that although he didn’t know the whole story, he knew that Griner was brought back instead of a marine.

Rogan probably knew where the train was headed. He responded with similar energy. He said, “Oh my god! It’s kind of crazy because it turned out that they offered one or the other. They offered Paul Whalen, who was the marine or… Well what’s the NBC was saying as well. And then they redacted it and changed their story. But yeah, that’s supposedly, it was a one versus one. You could pick which one.”

Joe Rogan’s take on the Brittney Griner situation

The 55-year-old podcaster never backed down from talking about Griner’s imprisonment. In a previous episode of the JRE, he claimed that Americans traveling to Russia were in danger. Furthermore, he gave the example of the WNBA star’s capture. He said, “Brittney Griner is over there. You know, rotting in a f**king cell. They gave her nine years for having marijuana vape pen on her.”

Moreover, in another episode of JRE MMA Show, he put a bit more words to his thoughts alongside Sean O’Malley. He spoke about his belief that possession of cannabis was trivial, and that no one deserved the treatment Griner got from the Russian judiciary. Finally, Rogan made a pop culture reference. He compared the entire situation with a plot from ‘The Stranger Things’.
