Levy emerged victoriously against Genaro Valdez at UFC Orlando. Following that, he was questioned regarding West’s comments during his post-fight interview. Natan Levy said that he was a proud Jew and he would fight for his country and people inside or outside the Octagon whenever required.

Natan Levy asked Kanye West to visit him if he has problems

The Kanye West chapter of Natan Levy’s interview began with the interviewer stating, I know you represent Israel and there’s been a lot of talk in the mainstream news with what Kanye West has been saying and Kyrie Irving has been saying.”

He then asked, “As an athlete from Israel, what do you make of everything that’s happening in this country in the media?”

Levy replied, Life is too short to hate, you know. So, I told these hateful people, you know, it sucks for you. I pity you.” He also addressed ‘Ye’, stating, “And other than that, Kanye West, if you got a problem with me or my people, come, see me, bro.”

Levy further stated that he was proud of his race, I will fight for my people in the Octagon or wherever need be. And I won’t stand for antisemitism, I won’t stand for any racism, not around me. Don’t bully anyone around me, or I’m gonna find you.”

The reporter also asked Levy whether he has noticed that a lot of other people also chose to follow West regarding his antisemitic opinions. He asked, When he starts saying all of these things, I feel like a lot of people on Twitter, there’s people rising. Now they think they can also say it because Kanye is saying that. Have you noticed that too?”

Levy affirmed the reporter’s question, saying, Trust me, I have noticed it. I get a lot of lovely DM’s all the time”. It was evident that he was also subjected to the toxicity spread by antisemitic people over the web.

What did West actually say in the infamous interview?

Previously, ‘Ye’ had appeared on ‘Infowars’ and was interviewed by a right-wing conspiracy theorist, Alex Jones. He blatantly admitted, “I see good things about H*tler. Every human being has something of value they brought to the table, especially H*tler.”

‘Ye’ stated, “They did good things too, we’ve got to stop dissing the Na**s all the time”. He carried a net and a bottle of Yoohoo chocolate milk to his interview in an attempt to mock the current Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.

West also had his Twitter account suspended after posting a Na*i Swastika over the Star of David, a holy symbol for Jews.

After ‘Ye’s’ ‘Infowars’ interview, a lot of celebrities condemned his comments. The ‘Frozen’ star, Josh Gad, who is also a Jew, expressed his concern about how such negative words from a famous personality can influence the masses towards hating an entire race.

He put out a tweet, which read, “It’s not what Kanye West says that scares me,” he wrote on Twitter. “It’s that he has 30 million followers who listen to his insanity on top of a cheerleader in the form of the current owner of this platform”.

Levy’s post-fight interview also indicated that many had picked the antisemitic comments made by West.

The coveted scrap between Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson in 2002 was when I realized the passion for combat sports within my family. My interest in combat sports began watching scripted pro wrestling shows. It was my father who directed me towards combat sports and it wasn’t until the late 2010s that I discovered the world of MMA and the UFC. Like many of you, I too, tuned in for the infamous Nurmagomedov vs. McGregor bout live on October 6, 2018. Being an ardent fan of the UFC (and Dustin ‘The Diamond’ Poirier), I was always looking to have conversations about the same with others. But to my disappointment, I hardly found any followers of the sports to interact with. So I took it upon myself to do my part in popularizing the thrill and the agony behind the purest form of unarmed combat. At EssentiallySports, I try to bring the readers closer to the athletes and focus my coverage on exploring the human side of these martial artists. I’m a musician during my time free from reporting MMA. I operate as the lead vocalist of a rock band that aims to make their mark among the audiences with their original alternative-hard rock songs.
