The self-proclaimed ‘Face of the Fight Game’ put the former WEC featherweight world champion, Mike Brown, under the bus with his tweet.

The Notorious‘ posted in a now-deleted tweet, “Mike brown is a little smell bag. Never a champ. Never produced one. Take a shower mike the pong of B.O off you.”

The Irish superstar fought the ATT coach, Brown’s pupil Dustin Poirier three times inside the Octagon. Though he won the first encounter, the next two didn’t go his way. This could be one reason for McGregor’s ire towards Mike Brown.

Another reason could be McGregor’s beef with Jorge Masvidal. The former WEC champion also coaches ‘Gamebred‘. And McGregor and Masvidal have gone back and forth about wanting to fight each other for years now.

Perhaps Brown’s comment about a Masvidal-McGregor matchup didn’t sit well with ‘The Notorious’. Although, Brown didn’t disrespect McGregor at any point and was always complimentary of the UFC’s biggest PPV draw.

In an interview with MMA Junkie’s Mike Bohn, Brown, on the potential McGregor vs. Masvidal matchup, said, “Of course, that would be incredible. I couldn’t imagine a fight that would be bigger than those with their personalities and fighting style, I think it would be the biggest number the sport has ever seen.
