Arman Tsarukyan registered a first-round knockout against Beneil Dariush

The fight started with Arman Tsarukyan and Beneil Dariush both throwing strikes at each other. The 4th-ranked looked to grab a win after a first-round loss to Charles Oliveira. However, he met the same fate against Tsarukyan as he got knocked out in the very first round of the fight.

Arman Tsarukyan later mentioned that he was happy to grab the win and inch closer to title contention. Not only that, but he also called Beneil Dariush the most respectful fighter in the entire lightweight division. Claiming that he can wrestle, grapple, and strike, ‘Ahalkalakets’ mentioned his urge to fight Islam Makhachev again and is determined to knock the Dagestani champion out. He sent a message to the champion as well.

Islam Makhachev was Arman Tsarukyan’s first UFC opponent. They fought each other back in 2019 as the reigning lightweight champion registered a unanimous decision win. However, Tsarukyan believes that the next time, things are going to be different. He talked to Daniel Cormier during the post-fight interview and sent a message to Makhachev.

“Islam is a different level fighter. But we fought four years ago. I was 22 years old. now, I am 27. So guys, I’ve improved. Now, next fight is gonna be different one. I’m gonna knock him out,” said Arman Tsarukyan. Now, we will have to wait and see if that’s the case when he meets Islam Makhachev inside the Octagon.
