As UFC 297 concluded, we saw the rise of a new champion in Dricus Du Plessis, whose undefeated streak in the UFC is now adorned with a championship belt. His bout with Sean Strickland was an intense battle, drenched in blood, but it was Du Plessis who emerged victorious. Naturally, despite Strickland’s defeat, Nina Marie Daniele has shown unwavering loyalty to her friend, standing firmly by his side.

From going to dinners to shooting guns to having a fireworks competition just before the title defense, Nina Marie Daniele and Sean Strickland have been friends for a long time. Marie Daniele was there to witness Strickland’s first title defense. She was expecting to witness a victory for Strickland but fate, or rather DDP had other plans.

The fight went till the last round and there was even a tint of uncertainty about the winner of the bout. After the defeat, Strickland seemed heartbroken. Marie Daniele took her social media and shared a photo of her fist bumping after the defeat with a simple caption that proves they are together in this, in victory and in defeat- “To the death n@SStricklandMMA”
