Jon Anik’s dilemma seems to have stretched too far and beyond the confines of MMA. The commentator’s comments on Sean Strickland‘s defeat at the hands of Dricus Du Plessis took center stage when Anik made a bold statement about leaving UFC for good. Strickland was quick to fire back at the commentator. Regardless, Anik got support from a rare individual, Dillon Danis, strangely one of Conor McGregor’s allies who constantly calls out everyone else.

Anik made statements on the toxic behaviors of some fans which divide the community into two halves. Strickland issued multiple callouts to Anik after the statement but the recent one seems to have irked Dillon Danis.

Anik stated that he agrees with the decision by the judges for the Sean Strickland vs, Dricus Du Plessis match. To give you a little context: Strickland and Du Plessis’s matchup was a very close one but ‘Stillknocks’ clinched the victory at the very end, and this left Strickland in a horrible mood.

The community was in splits, even Dana White and Joe Rogan commenting against the official statement. Amid this, Anik came forward to extend his support to Du Plessis. This support seems to have irked the former middleweight champion.

Strickland took to X to add a comment against Anik. The fighter stated that it was okay to call him a loser but it was not cool to call the MMA fans as casual. He said “What id say to Jon Anik calling mma fans” The lowest common denominator” These people are way you have a paycheck, and you make way more than most… Maybe the NFL is a better choice for you than MMA…. Also you guys are a bunch of savage cunts.. I’m here for it…..”

Stricklan made a point but Dillon Danis was not in a mood to take anything from Strickland. The former Bellator fighter took to his X handle to add a comment against Strickland. He writes “Coming from the guy who cried and threatened murder because someone made fun of you. “

Danis’s back and forth with Strickland found some unexpected support from the fans who also shared the same opinion as Jon Anik.

Is Dillon Danis finally getting support from fans?

The MMA community was again split by Anik’s statement. However, they were not expecting support from Danis. The fans took to Reddit to express their opinion.

Starting off, fans commented on the hypocritical nature of Strickland.

Man, Sean is such a hypocritical bum that I’m actually agreeing with Dillon…

He’s objectively correct. You aren’t allowed to be the “your all soft snowflakes” and “free speech” guy if you threaten to stab someone over a joke

Another fan dropped a hilarious reality check on the former champion.

Sean got so cringe we had no choice but to agree with Dillon Danis

Furthermore, a fan asserted that Anik’s comments were specifically for the toxic Strickland fans and not the MMA fans in general.

Anik was talking about toxic Strickland fans. Of course Strickland would like those people.

A fan stated that Strickland behaves as if it is cool to act like him.
