After the last two events left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth with weight-cut controversies, Dana White and Co. can breathe a sigh of relief ahead of UFC Vancouver. At last week’s UFC Rio Fight Night, Saimon Oliveira shocked everyone by missing the bantamweight limit by eight pounds. At UFC 320, the week before, it was Macy Chiasson. With that in mind, fans have almost come to expect some kind of weight-related drama every time. But at the UFC Vancouver weigh-ins, no such controversy took place.

In a bantamweight matchup, Marlon Vera (136) and hometown favorite Aiemann Zahabi (135.5) both stepped on the scale and made weight without issue. No drama for the prelims fighters either
Although the UFC Vancouver main card will undoubtedly steal the spotlight, the prelims pack plenty of firepower as well. In the featured prelim, 39-year-old UFC veteran Davey Grant made the 136 lbs bantamweight limit and now prepares to collide with Charles Jourdain, who looks to deliver the performance of his life in front of his home crowd. And that’s not the only notable matchup on the prelims.
Because, the lightweight violence machine, Drew Dober, also returns to test his chin against Kyle Prepolec in a highly anticipated showdown. To keep this thrilling fight intact, both men made weight at 155.5 lbs, just half a pound under the divisional limit. While the weigh-ins went smoothly overall, Bruno Silva gave fans a brief scare with his late appearance before officially weighing in at 125.5 lbs for his flyweight bout against HyunSung Park (126). Other than that, every fighter hit their mark without issue. Here’s the full list of the remaining prelims fights:
- Danny Barlow (185.5 lbs) vs. Djorden Santos (185.5 lbs)
