Darren Till took to Twitter and decided to troll famed MMA journalist Ariel Helwani who recently parted ways with ESPN. Till and Helwani have a rather light-hearted relationship and they constantly go back and forth on social media. ‘The Gorilla’ was particularly active on Twitter throughout the day and targeted Helwani for some laughs.

Helwani, too, engages back with Till on social media and fans have grown fond of their dynamic. Both men have exceedingly distinct personalities, thus making their union even more interesting.

Ariel Helwani signed with ESPN in 2018 on a three-year deal. After the deal expired, in what was a surprising decision, he moved on. He later announced that he would be working with BT Sport as their combat sports and pro wrestling frontman. Additionally, he would also relaunch the fan-favorite show, ‘MMA Hour’ under the MMA Fighting.com banner on the Vox Media platform.

Darren Till: A perennial troll

The Englishman has built up a reputation for being quite an instigator on social media, and fans can’t seem to get enough. For many within the MMA community, Darren Till is one of the funniest fighters on the roster. Israel Adesanya and Ben Askren are some fighters who have similar presences on social media, however, ‘The Gorilla’ is in a league of his own.

He’s been able to stir up interest in his career just by virtue of being one of the most charismatic personalities on the roster. Despite the fact that he’s had a less than stellar run as of late, Till remains a marquee draw. He’s constantly been featured in notable match-ups and there is a sense of anticipation every time he fights.

However, Till is 1-3 in his last four outings and will need to get back on track under the bright lights. He’s suffered a major cancelation due to injury and has been plotting a comeback for quite a while now. There’s no doubt that he is an elite middleweight and he’s excited to return to action and stake his claim for gold.
