White took to Instagram, posting a video of Conor McGregor on his Instagram story, with the caption, “Coming Soon…” The clip seemed to be of McGregor arriving for the UFC 229 press conference at the Park MGM. He was sporting his iconic white tank top and hat, wearing which he went after Khabib Nurmagomedov and his manager Ali Abdelaziz during the presser.

White’s latest update all but confirmed McGregor’s claims during ‘Road House’ promotions about his impending return were true. And now, considering that Conor McGregor recently took to his Instagram to announce that he had passed his 5th drug test this year, the possibility of the fight taking place is even more likely. In his Instagram story, which he posted yesterday, McGregor had a caption that wrote, “Got tested again Yesterday. All good in the hood.”

These updates from White and McGregor raise anticipation and questions. A big question mark looming over ‘Mystic Mac’s return was his UFC contract nearing its end. With just two fights left, speculations were hot that the promotion was delaying his return to extend his contract and tie him down to the Vegas-based outlet for the near future. It would also be in the UFC’s interest to keep their biggest PPV star ahead of their negotiations for a new broadcast deal, given that their partnership with ESPN is nearing its end.

So expect more major updates on these three fronts to drop in the coming days and do not be surprised if Dana White has got his wish yet again! And the same could be the case for the Irishman and his return prospects, considering his prospective opponent has been singing the same tune.
