When ‘Chaos’ was brought in by UFC president Dana White as the backup fighter for the London headliner, Jon Anik expressed his disappointment towards the fact that it was unfair to Belal Muhammad. The UFC commentator recently tweeted that ‘Remember the Name’ should have been the choice for backup since he is on a 9-fight undefeated streak. Moreover, Belal hasn’t lost a fight in over four years under the UFC banner. Anik believes that he deserves his fair share of respect.

However, Colby Covington wasn’t pleased to hear those words from Jon Anik and issued him a death threat in an x-rated rant during an interview with MMA Fighting’He said, “So you [Anik] wanted to lick my freaking b*lls in London. And then you wanna go back behind the stage and cheerlead for a racist [Muhammad].” He added, “Jon Anik, dude, I don’t want your kids to grow up without a dad. Just realize you live in Boca, I live in Miami motherf***er. You’re not too far from me. So you better shut your f***ing mouth. You poke the bear? Now you get the bear comes after you.”

A fellow UFC star expressed his dissatisfaction with the welterweight star’s words.

Jared Gordon reacts to Covington’s death threat

Death threats aren’t rare in combat sports. But fighters issue most of these threats to their opponents. So ‘Chaos’s words did not sit well with many people online. Even Jared ‘Flash’ Gordon dropped a tweet addressing Covington’s death threat toward Jon Anik. He wrote: Death threats for towards [Jon Anik] and his children. No wonder Masvidal got him in public.” Jared Gordon was livid with a fighter threatening a harmless commentator.
