At UFC Vegas 33, fans witnessed Sean Strickland emerging victorious in his long-drawn battle against Uriah Hall. After claiming a spectacular unanimous decision victory, ‘Tarzan’ made some nasty comments. And the UFC President Dana White didn’t like those comments.

Strickland proved to the world that he is one of the best UFC middleweight contenders after defeating Hall. As a result, he had a lot of eyes on him. Several fans and well-known UFC personalities appreciated his performance at UFC Vegas 33. However, his disturbing comments stunned the entire MMA community.

In the post-fight press conference, Strickland said – “If you like to f*ck*ng hurt people, you are in the right sport, man. I would love nothing more than to kill somebody in the ring… It would make me super happy”.

In a recent interview with MMA Junkie, the interviewer asked Dana White whether he was aware of those comments. That is when he shared his point of view.

The UFC President said – “Yeah, that didn’t get on my radar and nobody wants to hear somebody say that. You know what I mean”.

Dana White on Sean Strickland’s performance at UFC Vegas 33

Strickland dominated Hall for the entire fight with his elite striking skills. The ‘Tarzan’ set a record for landing most strikes in a UFC middleweight bout. He landed a total no. of 186 significant strikes compared to Hall‘s 107 significant strikes. He scored four takedowns in their bout.

After this magnificent victory, Strickland now holds the eighth position in the UFC middleweight rankings. He is now on a five-fight win streak and on his way to the top 5.

In the same interview, White also shared his point-of-view on Strickland’s performance. He said – “He looked great… That kid’s mean, nasty and what I would consider like a real fighter. Like, this guy is a nasty dude”.

‘Tarzan’ sure is one of the best UFC middleweight contenders. If things go the same way as it is going now, Strickland will for sure secure himself a title shot soon.
