“It’s a big deal, especially on a fight like this. You know me, I love to break records,” said Dana White days before UFC 306. The Sphere is the world’s first immersive destination and an MMA event there would make history. And that’s what took place. The visuals were so mesmerizing that Ale͏x Pereira now has a request for Dana White.

Regardless, what happened at the event that made it such a spectacle for the viewers? Well, one of the most important things that made it such an exhilarating event was the presence of interactive movies as well as a multi-dimensional light tunnel that syncs with their theme music.

According to UFC CEO, Dana White, “There’s a movie that’s going to run in the Sphere, and there are chapters to this movie.” He further added, “So, before each fight, there’s a movie, and you will be focused on the Sphere and the screen, then the fighters will walk out, and then the fight is the star of the show. When that’s over, there will be another movie, then a fight. This movie that I’m talking about and these chapters will tell the history of combat sports in Mexico, the history of Mexican people, their traditions. It is what I call a love letter to Mexico.”

Will the UFC honor Brazil as they did for Mexico?

UFC 306 was a spectacle. In honor of the Mexican Independence Day, the promotion put together visuals that have never been witnessed in the sport. Now let us not forget how important Brazil has been to the UFC.

When the promotion started making waves in 1993, they had the Brazilian Royce Gracie as their poster boy. The concept of mixed martial arts was new to the world but, “no holds barred”, similar to MMA was not new in Brazil.

As reported by Bleacher Report in 2012, the country had a sport called ‘Vale Tudo’ which translates to ‘anything goes’ and that became extremely popular. So it is not surprising to know that Brazilians have contributed a lot to the UFC over the years. And having Alex Pereira fight in The Sphere along with other Brazilian fighters would be a blockbuster event.

For instance, MMA journalist Ariel Helwani took to his X handle to confirm how spectacular UFC 306 was. “Man. This is f*cking amazing. They are gonna win an Emmy for this. How beautiful. This can’t be the last time,” he wrote.

Similarly, Chamatkar Sandhu shared the Mexican heritage video from the Sphere and stated, “Take a bow, everyone at the UFC involved in bringing this SPHERE event to life. Exceeding all expectations.” No wonder ‘Chama’ would like to headline a similar event.
