UFC star Conor McGregor is known for speaking his mind. He frequently writes on Twitter and later on deletes them. However, it looks like he regrets going after fellow UFC fighter Tony Ferguson. He feels that Elon Musk Twitter is not a good app.
Ferguson took digs at the UFC and Dana White during the UFC 274 media day visit. McGregor was not happy with this and took to Twitter to express his thoughts. McGregor is managed by ‘Paradigm Sports’ who also used to manage Ferguson.

Hence, ‘The Notorious’ threw shade at Ferguson for taking digs at White as well as changing representation. In a deleted tweet, McGregor wrote (h/t Givemesport), “Tony Ferguson, who changes representation around four times a year, is saying it’s someone else’s fault he is in the position he is in.”
“How many bridges do you burn before you look yourself in the mirror and say ‘maybe it’s me that’s the issue’. God bless you pal, I’ll say a prayer.”

However, it looks like the Irishman regrets going after ‘El Cucuy’. In a deleted tweet, he wrote, “I’m upset I went at tony like that. Out straight. Wtf team, this is not a nice app nor does it encourage nice behavior toward each other. 43bn, man pull that and say “sike” who give a fu*k, really. No one. Dip to a dip on the ship. The carry the toys ship. Leave a beast a beast.”
Thus, while the fighter is unhappy with his own behavior, he also questioned Musk’s acquisition of the social media platform.
Elon Musk: Will Twitter’s free speech result in problems?
Musk’s vision for the social media platform has been to provide a space for free speech. While many are happy to not put up with being censored, people are also worried if bullying and harassment could be disguised as free speech. An article published by ‘USA Today‘, discussed the issue in detail.

So it looks like Musk’s recent acquisition of Twitter is already being met with skepticism and doubts. Hence, it would be interesting to see how the billionaire entrepreneur upholds free speech while also guarding the safety of users.
Thus, while McGregor regretted going after Ferguson, the same might not be the case with several others.
