If there’s one thing that is overshadowing the 94th Academy Awards on social media, it’s the altercation between Will Smith and Chris Rock. Minutes before winning the best actor award, Smith went up on stage uninvited and slapped the presenter Chris Rock in UFC style. The incident happened over a joke made by Rock at the expense of Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett.

Twitter went wild with memes, reactions, and opinions flowing across all spheres. Everyone is taking a piece of the cake and UFC stars would not stay put for long. As soon as the incident went viral, many fighters reacted to it and blew up the internet.

UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou shared a hilarious meme directed towards the critics of his wrestling ability.

UFC welterweight contender Belal Muhammad shared his will to see Anatomy of a Fighter director Will Harris direct Anatomy of Will Smith.

He further messaged Will Smith on Instagram and shared a screenshot of the same on Twitter. He invited Smith to join his podcast, and director-cum-UFC fan Rory Karpf gave a witty reply.

Jorge Masvidal also shared the uncensored video of the incident on his Instagram story. Interestingly, ‘Gamebred’ also got involved in a similar episode with former teammate Colby Covington over his comments on Masvidal’s family.

UFC women’s bantamweight champion Julianna Pena also took to her Instagram to react to the same. Pena shared a meme and suggested making Will Smith and Chris Rock new coaches on The Ultimate Fighter. “New coaches of The Ultimate Fighter 😂,” wrote Pena.

Later on, UFC ring girl Arianny Celeste also shared the video. “I love Will Smith so much …” she wrote on her Instagram story.

Even UFC president Dana White couldn’t hold back but react to the same. While sharing the video on Instagram, White wrote, “FINALLY!!!! There’s an Oscar’s show worth watching. AND @chrisrock has a chin.”

Commenting on White’s post, current UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, and former UFC welterweight champion George St Pierre also reacted to the incident.

Usman commented, “💯 💯 💯” while GSP called it fake and asked white to “offer them a contract.”

Former UFC champion and superstar Conor McGregor attended the Video Music Awards (VMAs) last year and sparked a similar controversy.

The Irish MMA fighter got into an altercation with American rapper Machine Gun Kelly and attempted to punch the latter. The incident became viral and invited many memes and reactions in a similar fashion.

In a video of the incident, fans saw McGregor throwing punches towards the rapper and spilling his drink on him too. However, the event security apprehended the former double champion and prevented any serious damage.

Notably, MGK’s partner, and renowned actress Megan Fox, was also present during the incident.
