Official: Dana White Confirms UFC 300 Main Event – Alex Pereira Gets Shot at Revenge for Glover Teixeira Against Jamahal Hill

Both Pereira and Hill are renowned for their powerful striking abilities, making this matchup highly anticipated among fans. In his statement, White guaranteed an intense battle between two elite champions known for their aggressive fighting styles, promising UFC 300’s main event to be a spectacle to remember.  However, fans who were hoping for a clash between ‘Poatan’ and current UFC interim heavyweight champion, Tom Aspinall at UFC 300, may be disappointed with the latest update from White!

In his announcement, he stated, “Alex Pereira is the first fighter to become a champion in both the middleweight and light-heavyweight divisions of the UFC, it took him the shortest period of time in the history of the organization to win his middleweight title ”

He also lauded Hill as a dangerous opponent for ‘Poatan’ as he revealed, “He is the first Dana White contender series alum to win a world title. Like Pereira, he is a world class kickboxer with serious power.”

He ended his video with a promise to the fans by stating, “I can guarantee you that this fight is going to be an absolute drag-out war between two massive world champions,  that are also two of the nastiest fighters on the roster.” As such, with both fighters poised to deliver an electrifying performance, fans can anticipate an unforgettable showdown at the historic event!

UFC President Dana White has explained why Conor McGregor’s return to the Octagon is taking longer than expected. In a recent interview with Kevin Iole, White expressed concerns about McGregor’s recovery from his serious leg injury, citing examples like Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman, who took significant time off after similar injuries. Additionally, White noted that McGregor’s financial stability could also impact his return timeline.

He revealed, “Conor McGregor doesn’t need the f*cking money. So when you don’t need the money, it’s not as easy”.  As McGregor prepares for his long-awaited and highly speculated upon return, fans eagerly await news of his next bout as UFC 300 seems to be out of the equation for ‘The Notorious’s return!
