‘Chaos’ is one of the most prominent names in the MMA industry. And it is not news that the welterweight fighter is an ardent supporter of the ex-president.

Hence, his leap into the world of Trump-inspired NFTs makes sense. The Californian took to his official Instagram account to share the news. He uploaded a picture of himself with the caption, “Colby Covington Official Holder” on his Instagram story.

What is going on with Colby Covington?

The former UFC interim welterweight champion recently defeated his arch-nemesis, Jorge Masvidal, via unanimous decision in the main event of UFC 272. However, the animosity between the two didn’t seem to end.

Weeks after the fight, ‘Gamebred’ allegedly attacked ‘Chaos’ outside a Miami restaurant. Consequently, the latter pressed charges against Masvidal. However, he received a mixed reaction from the UFC community for pressing charges against his former opponent.

After the incident, the UFC world quickly divided into two sides. Some backed Covington for his actions, while others slammed him for his comments on Masvidal’s family. One of the entities who criticized the Californian was the former lightweight champion and undefeated fighter, Khabib Nurmagomedov.

‘The Eagle’ took to his official Twitter account and aimed at the welterweight fighter for his harsh trash talk. Not only that, but Nurmagomedov also asked the UFC welterweight fighter to boycott Covington for his behavior.

However, boycotting Covington isn’t practically possible, as he is the number 1 contender and fighters will have to outclass him to earn a title shot. Moreover, many are also aware that the Californian keeps such a persona only to sell his fights and entertain fans.
