Weeks after the fight, ‘Gamebred’ allegedly attacked ‘Chaos’ outside a Miami restaurant. Consequently, the latter pressed charges against Masvidal. However, he received a mixed reaction from the UFC community for pressing charges against his former opponent.

After the incident, the UFC world quickly divided into two sides. Some backed Covington for his actions, while others slammed him for his comments on Masvidal’s family. One of the entities who criticized the Californian was the former lightweight champion and undefeated fighter, Khabib Nurmagomedov.

‘The Eagle’ took to his official Twitter account and aimed at the welterweight fighter for his harsh trash talk. Not only that, but Nurmagomedov also asked the UFC welterweight fighter to boycott Covington for his behavior.

However, boycotting Covington isn’t practically possible, as he is the number 1 contender and fighters will have to outclass him to earn a title shot. Moreover, many are also aware that the Californian keeps such a persona only to sell his fights and entertain fans.
