Die-hard MMA fans wouldn’t want to miss an event as big as UFC 277. The event saw blockbuster fights between Amanda Nunes and Julianna Peña, Brandon Moreno and Kai Kara France, and Derrick Lewis and Sergei Pavlovich. While there were other interesting fights on the main card as well.

‘ESPN MMA’ and ‘Sportscenter’ reshared a reel of a UFC fan, taking his partner to watch a UFC 277 fight in the theatre. However, she had no clue they were going to watch a fight. She believed they were going for a movie.

Javi Aguirre originally posted the reel on his Instagram account with the caption, “Never said we were watching a movie”.

A fan wrote, “Wow that’s terrible, they’re really leaving the lights on in the theater”.

“I woukd have been stroked!.” commented another fan.

A fan who would like to see fights in the theatre wrote, “I wish my theatre did that tf”.

The small reel that was posted also showed Magomed Ankalaev and Anthony Smith’s UFC 277 fight for a few seconds. Further, in the reel, the man’s partner seemed to look a little annoyed at his actions.

“little did she know “movie” means “Magomed Ankalaev” in Russian,” wrote another fan.

A man wrote under the reel, “She ain’t the 1 if she don’t like it”.

Admiring his love for the sport, another person commented, “Someone get this man performance of the night bonus”.

A person wrote, “She got bamboozled!”

A fan had an interesting comment, including commentator Joe Rogan. He wrote, “Ohhhhhhhh she is hurt (In Joe Rogan’s voice)”.

Further, UFC announcer Brendan Fitzgerald couldn’t stop laughing in the comment section.

UFC 277: Was it a successful MMA event?

Many people were excited to see Peña and Nunes clash for the second time.

After their UFC 269 fight and subsequent faceoff on ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ as coaches, people wanted to see if Nunes could regain her double champ status.

Nunes not only won the fight but also dominated it. Additionally, the Moreno versus Kara France fight was explosive.

Unfortunately, heavyweight Derrick Lewis wasn’t able to perform as per his expectation.
