Joe Rogan has been a mainstay in the post-fight octagon interviews for a very long time now. The 55-year-old has had the opportunity to interview the greats of the sport throughout the years. While he has also been a part of debatable topics like interviewing fighters who get knocked out, there are a few interactions that have left fans with a smile on their face.

One such instance was at UFC 270 when he interviewed Crystal Demopoulos after her win against Silvana Gómez Juárez. As fans can recollect, the 34-year-old Strawweight leaped onto Rogan’s arms in an excited state.

Demopoulos shares a throwback video of her interview with Joe Rogan

In a bid to commemorate the interview, which took place a year back on 22 January, Demopoulos posted the clip on her Instagram profile. While thanking Joe Rogan for celebrating with her, the Strawweight also expressed her gratitude for being a part of the UFC.

Her caption read: “ONE YEAR AGO. This was such an awesome moment! Thanx Joe Rogan for enjoying that with me. The magnitude is that getting interviewed means WINNING a fight in the UFC. Can’t even explain how amazing this moment is. I get to go out and continue living my dreams with UFC Time to buckle up the seatbelt. It’s a wild ride and we just began!!”

Interestingly, this was not the only time she had leaped into the arms of the interviewer. Demopoulos later reacted in a similar fashion when Michael Bisping interviewed her as well. Funnily enough, she has even compared both of them.

Crystal Demopoulos had to work as a stripper before making it in the UFC

Many fans won’t know that the 34-year-old Strawweight had genuine reasons to be grateful for her opportunity. Earlier, Demopoulos used to make a living working as a pole dancer. Although she never hid it from her fans, she had to quit the profession in order to focus on her fighting career. She has even mentioned that her agility because of pole dancing has helped her in her Jiu Jitsu.

She has also in previous interviews talked about her struggles with drugs and homelessness even. Demopoulos recalls becoming an exotic dancer saved her while also helping her stay fit.
