UFC 275 took place last Sunday inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. It was the first-ever UFC pay-per-view event in Singapore and the enthralling fight card truly lived up to the hype. The main event between Glover Teixeira and Jan Blachowicz capped off a magnificent PPV and almost broke a UFC record.

The light heavyweight title fight saw both combatants put up an amazing performance inside the cage and deliver one of the best fights of this year.

Prochazka and Teixeira took the fight up to the fifth round, where ‘Denisa’ seemed to be out on his feet. However, he gamely stayed in the bout and caught the champion in a surprising rear-naked choke to earn the tap with just 28 seconds left.

It was a big win for the Czech fighter as he became the first UFC champion from his country. Although the fight delivered on multiple fronts, it failed to snatch one UFC title fight record.

Horiguchi turned out to be one of ‘DJ’s toughest opponents as he pushed ‘Mighty Mouse’ to the limit. However, Johnson retaliated and dominated Horiguchi on the ground in the final minute of round 5. He quickly caught him in an armbar and drew the tap, ending the fight at the 4:59 minute mark.

‘DJ’ finished the fight just one second before the final bell. To date, this fight saw the latest stoppage in the history of UFC title bouts.
