The dispute over fighter pay has long existed in the UFC, with Dana White often being in the crosshairs for the promotion’s payout structure. While top-tier fighters like Jon Jones, Alex Pereira, and Sean O’Malley made millions in 2024, their wages still pale when compared to what some content creators make. Case in point—Sophie Rain, an On*yFans model, recently shocked the internet by disclosing that she earned a stunning $43.4 million in just one year on the subscription-based site.

Rain shared a screenshot of her On*yFans profits on X, revealing an astounding $43.4 million in 12 months. The creator’s post, captioned “thankful for one year on here,” sparked a discussion about the high earning potential of digital material. Her earnings surpass those of the top five UFC stars in 2024, including Jon Jones, Alex Pereira, and Sean O’Malley. Rain has defeated UFC athletes by a significant margin, despite the UFC fighters putting their bodies on the line to get that million-dollar paycheck.

The numbers speak for themselves. Jon Jones, the reigning UFC heavyweight champion and the highest-paid fighter in 2024, earned $6.2 million from a single bout. Pereira, who fought three times and appeared on short notice for UFC 303, earned a total of $9.5 million in 2024. Even Sean O’Malley, Ilia Topuria, and Max Holloway, three of the promotion’s top pay-per-view draws, couldn’t match Rain’s On*yFans success.

This highlights the growing financial divide between fighters in the UFC and content creators, with social media influencers receiving record-breaking incomes while avoiding the physical risks associated with combat sports. Maybe that is why Jon Jones stated that he wants a massive $30 million from Dana White to go toe-to-toe with interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall. But what about the rumored $30 million on the table? Joe Rogan echoed that sum on his podcast, but how much truth is there to that claim?

Is Jon Jones’ demand for $30 million from the UFC a real figure?

With increasing financial disparities between UFC fighters and content creators, Jon Jones may be looking to secure a big paycheck before returning to the Octagon. As UFC fighters continue to demand better compensation, the UFC commentator stated on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast that the reigning UFC heavyweight champion reportedly demanded $30 million to face interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall. According to the UFC commentator, the Dana White-led company is already in negotiations with ‘Bones’ and may be willing to pay his price.

The JRE host said on his podcast, “We were talking about Jon Jones, and I had heard a rumor that Jon Jones wanted $30 million to fight Tom Aspinall.” However, it is possible that giving Jones such a massive amount would’ve created an uproar in the promotion, with other fighters also demanding significant pay increases. So, Rogan then revealed in another podcast episode that Dana White has shunned all the rumors by claiming that ‘Bones’ would not be getting such an astronomical sum for the fight.

The UFC commentator said on The Joe Rogan Experience, “It is not true, Dana contacted me and said that rumor is bulls—. So I felt obligated to tell everybody that was a fake rumor. I don’t even remember because we did that podcast two weeks ago; I don’t remember who told me that.” But what do you think? Will Jon Jones be getting around $30 million for his next fight? Let us know in the comments.
