Joe Rogan has been a fervent advocate of being against the Covid-19 vaccine. This is something that he’s discussed extensively on his podcast with guests from all kinds of backgrounds. The fact that the UFC commentator has such a vast reach and for him to talk about something so serious in the wrong light seemed irresponsible and immoral to the musical legend Neil Young, who then called to pull off his music from Spotify and eventually did so, too.

And in his conversation with Howard Stern, he reemphasized his stance over why he took offense on this matter of how the vaccination was spoken about on Spotify. Although he didn’t address it directly, he did suggestively refer to ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ to be the show that he talked about, discussing vaccines falsely.

Neil Young couldn’t stand the disrespect

Speaking with Howard Stern, who regarded Neil Young highly for standing up for his beliefs and actually backing up his call-out, even though it cost him millions. But money was not to be held above the belief, for Neil Young. Who then delved deeper into the whole Spotify and Joe Rogan fiasco with vaccines.

Neil Young told Stern, “I woke up one morning and somebody, I heard somebody saying there was some scientists were saying something about Covid or some doctors. And they were saying something about Covid and how many people were dying in the hospitals and misinformation.”

Moving ahead, Young further added, “So these people were distressed by the fact that Spotify was doing this misinformation with some show they had. And I listened to it and they were purposely saying this stuff that he knows isn’t true about Covid, and people are dying, you know.”

And the last step for him was to step away from the platform. “I just called up my management and said, ‘We’re out of there’, you know. ‘Get me off.'”, said, Neil Young.

Having said that, Rogan had his own perspective and arguments for why he didn’t think highly of the vaccines. But his beliefs caused him to slip into a serious trap during one of his recent episodes.

Joe Rogan apologizes for falling for a vaccine hoax

In one of the recent episodes of the JRE, the UFC commentator zoned into a vaccine-related tweet that painted the shot in a negative way. Turned out the tweet was made from a fake account in the name of Dr. Natalia Solenkova, who is, in fact, a highly regarded doctor herself.

The tweet said, “I will never regret the vaccine. Even if it turns out I injected actual poison and have only days to live. My heart is and was in the right place. I got vaccinated out of love, while anti-vaxxers did everything out of hate. If I have to die because of my love for the world, then so be it. But I will never regret or apologize for it.”

Dr. Solenkova did put out her clarification later on. However, the episode had already aired, so it was too late to make any adjustments. Hence, Rogan was left with no choice but to remove the episode. He apologized for this in a tweet and admitted culpability for it.

The 55-year-old held complete accountability for this error. Nevertheless, given how extensively he dwelt on that bogus tweet in his show, he did receive some pushback in response.
