Preux survived the first round; however, he was knocked out in the second round of the fight with a strong jab to the head. The 38-year-old believes his injury before the fight could be a reason for his weak performance.

Recently in an interview with Mike Heck of MMA Fighting, Preux talked about an injury that he faced before the fight. He said,Just a week before the fight, I had to take a quick trip to the emergency room, my back locked up on me it was bad.

“I thought I was good weight cut was going good even when I was cutting weight. Then after the cut was getting more and more. I got down to 200 seven and a half like I told my coach I was done.

“I’ve never really dealt with anything like this before. I got the treatment that I needed. My body started feeling good. I was thinking about it was like why did I just went back and just jump right back into doing something else instead of actually probably taking another week or two weeks for treatment.

“I did nothing until I got to vegas so basically four or five days. Now that I am feeling good I think I can do it, I think I can do it. And they said things happen, it is what it is you learn.”

Ovince Saint Preux’s second fight in the heavyweight division

Following his recent loss against Jamahal Hill, Ovince Saint Preux is all set to enter the octagon again. The latter will face Tanner Boser in a 3-round heavyweight bout in a co-main event on Sunday, 27th June 2020. Both men are coming off of a loss in their previous fights.

‘The Bulldozer’ (19-8) has a quite good resume under his name. The latter has appeared in a total of 27 professional fights. He has won 19 matches 10 of which are via T/KO and 2 via submissions. Whereas ‘OSP’ (25-15) has 12 T/Ko and 8 submissions win in his column.

Even though ‘OSP’ has been with the promotion for a long time, he appeared to be slow in his previous bouts. Whereas, Bozer, even after few losses, seems to give a hard time to his opponent. The latter also has a 50lbs weight advantage.

Although it doesn’t appear to be an easy matchup for Preux, he might change the game with his hard kicks to stop the Canadian fighter.

What do you think about OSP’s last match? What are your predictions for Ovince Saint Preux vs Tanner Bozer? Let us know in the comment section below.
