UFC lightweight star Paddy Pimblett believes he will headline a pay-per-view event next inside Liverpool’s home stadium Anfield, despite Dana White’s objections.

Last weekend, ‘The Baddy’ electrified the crowd with his submission victory over Jordan Leavitt. Pimblett now has two victorious Fight Night events in London this year and three consecutive victories in the UFC.
However, the victory at the 02 Arena is insufficient for the fan favorite. The 27-year-old wants Anfield, the home stadium of Liverpool Football Club, to have more than 50,000 spectators and compete in front of them.
Although he doesn’t have UFC President White’s consent for it because of the weather conditions in England, ‘The Baddy’ thinks White will change his terms. He even used White’s initial denial of women in the UFC but had Ronda Rousey later, as an example.
“Yeah, most definitely. You know that. Know what I mean. Yeah, I know for a fact know that I’ll be fighting on PPVs, Jon Anik, Joe Rogan, and DC (Daniel Cormier) commentating. I know I won’t be fighting in The O2 again. It’s too small. As I say… we will do Anfield. I promise you now,” Pimblett said.
“Dana has said that he won’t do Anfield. But he also said that women will never fight in the UFC years ago and Ronda Rousey came along. He said he won’t do a stadium in the UK but The Baddy came along, so he will,” Pimblett added.

Following his first victory, many were skeptical about how ‘The Baddy’ would fare in the promotion. However, in his second bout, the 27-year-old dominated his opponent and finished the contest early, winning his second ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus.
In his third UFC bout, Pimblett out-wrestled Leavitt and secured a submission win in the second round. He also won a ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus for his victory.

So far, ‘The Baddy’ has remained undefeated in the promotion by putting up amazing shows for the fans. He even has an entertainment factor which makes him a complete packet. Many even compare his rise to that of Conor McGregor.
However, the 27-year-old Liverpudlian has many more things to achieve to reach a similar status as ‘The Notorious’ in the UFC.
