Current champion Israel Adesanya is in pursuit of the 205 title. Jan Blachowicz captured the vacated UFC light heavyweight title on the same card as Stylebender. Now Izzy looks to move up to 205 and test himself as he looks to become the next dual division champ.
‘Borrachinha’ suffered the first defeat of his career in September to Israel Adesanya. Both fighters went into the fight with undefeated records and eventually, it was Adesanya who came out on top.
Scheduled for March 2021
Robert Whittaker has already held the belt at middleweight. Due to injuries and back-to-back wars with Yoel Romero, Whittaker, going into the Adesanya fight, was a far cry from his best.
