“People Be Out Here Smiling in Public” – The Ellen DeGeneres Show’s Fan-Favorite ’Twitch’s Death Mourned by UFC Star

Twitch is no more. He shot himself and committed suicide in a Motel Room leaving a note stating the reason behind his suicide. #5 Middleweight fighter Derek Brunson has posted an emotional tribute for the entertainer on his Twitter handle. Brunson hinted at the mental health and depression behind Twitch‘s death. He was a DJ, host, and dancer. Media houses reported he was out of work and in financial ruin. He first tasted success in the entertainment industry when he was announced as the runner-up in the American Version of ‘So you think you can Dance’.
Twitch was most recently seen working with his wife Allison Holker on the Disney+ show. He had featured in several talent hunts and reality shows and also used to take dance classes.

The news about Twitch‘s suicide broke when a frantic Allison Holker reached out to the LAPD; complaining that her husband was missing and not answering his phone.
Derek Brunson pays his tribute to Twitch
Derek Brunson shared a video where Twitch was performing; and shared a heart-touching caption. Brunson wrote, “People be out here smiling in public, but really sad deep down inside RIP Twitch”. The caption was a clear message about mental health.

According to law- enforcement, Twitch was found in a motel room with a self-inflicted gunshot. A motel employee found him. Authorities also found a suicide note in the room.

Stephen ‘Twitch’ Boss was known for his work as a dancer in shows like Star Search and The Wade Robson Project. He was also a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Twitch married fellow dancer Allison Holker in 2013. The couple had three children between them.

Celebrities committing suicide have always broken fan hearts. They live lives that are utterly public and live under the eyes of the camera. The glamor and popularity come at their own cost. A lot of celebrities have succumbed to the demands and their own mental demons in the past. Fans will hope that mental health awareness becomes a more mainstream thing now than ever.
