While he did not say that the fights were staged, the Hollywood star emphasized that the average person does not possess the knowledge or training required to engage in a real fight and cause damage. Drawing from his own experiences as a martial artist and his keen eye for combat, White stated that he watches fights from the perspective of a referee.

I don’t know, I mean I might have watched a handful of those shows but I’ve seen a lot of real fights and people don’t know how to fight. I watch fights like a ref, I’m like yo man there is a part of me that’s like ‘think it through’. Don’t know, I’m a fight nerd though!”
