“People Don’t Know How to Fight”: Hollywood Star and “Fight Nerd” Michael Jai White Gives His Two Cents About the Reality of “Average Person” Fights

The show pushed the boundaries of daytime television, featuring guests engaged in heated arguments and occasionally resorting to physical altercations. Touching upon this, famous actor Michael Jai White shared his perspective on the show during an interview with DJ Vlad.

Michael Jai White has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry for several decades. He is known not only for his acting roles but also for his extensive martial arts background. With notable performances in films like the live action adaptation “Spawn”, White has proven his versatility and physical prowess on the big screen. The 55-year-old also played Mike Tyson in the 1995 HBO film ‘Tyson’.

In the later part of the interview, the interviewer asked the famous actor about his views on the fights that take place in the Jerry Springer show. According to the interviewer, the fights did not seem genuine because no one was injured in them. Interestingly, White had a different take on this.

While he did not say that the fights were staged, the Hollywood star emphasized that the average person does not possess the knowledge or training required to engage in a real fight and cause damage. Drawing from his own experiences as a martial artist and his keen eye for combat, White stated that he watches fights from the perspective of a referee.

Moreover, he also said that he analyzes the fighters’ strategies and decision-making. “The average person does not know how to fight. I don’t know, I mean I might have watched a handful of those shows but I’ve seen a lot of real fights and people don’t know how to fight. I watch fights like a ref, I’m like yo man there is a part of me that’s like ‘think it through’. Don’t know, I’m a fight nerd though!”
