Deiveson Figueiredo is set for his second title defense in less than a month. He will face Brandon Moreno in the main event of UFC 256 this weekend. The flyweight champion Figueiredo defeated Alex Perez in his last outing at UFC 255. At UFC 256, he will become the champion with the fastest back-to-back appearances.

Before that fight against Moreno, Figueiredo seemed to be in a light mood and opened up on many things, including his personal life.

Figueiredo has a pet water buffalo. Quite a choice for the UFC champion to have a pet no doubt. Those animals can be wild sometimes. But in an interview with Ben Fowlkes, Figueiredo revealed that they are actually very tamable unless they get wild.

He said, “But you can’t let them second-guess you. Then they get aggressive. And then you’re in big trouble.”

It’s fair to say that Figueiredo enjoys his spare time with his pet. It may not be everyone’s choice to have a buffalo as a pet, but for a dominant champion like ‘Deus da Guerra’, it makes perfect sense.

Deiveson Figueiredo plans to own a salon in the future

In the recent episode of UFC Embedded, the champ can be seen having a haircut as he opens up about his experiences as a hairdresser.  “Man, I am used to it, I was a hairstylist before. So I got used to this environment,” said the champion.

Figueiredo opened up about his dreams of owning a salon in the future. He said, “I want to say that I might have my own salon one day. And be able to be there all the time having a different hairstyle, beard.”

The champion got a bit nostalgic about his past professional days and revealed what he was best at before becoming a fighter. “My specialty was straightening hair and blowouts. I used to do that like nobody else,” said Figueiredo.

The UFC 256 card will be the last pay-per-view of the year. Figueiredo will be headlining two back-to-back pay-per-views to end his highly successful 2020. The flyweight champion will be looking to end the year on a high by coming out victorious against top contender Brandon Moreno this weekend. Moreno, like Figueiredo, fought at UFC 255 and defeated Brandon Royval.

Who do you think gets the win this weekend? Will Figueiredo continue his dominance in the flyweight division?
