The UFC has been constantly improving and is always trying to put out great shows. With UFC 272 going out on top, UFC 273 is just as well expected to perform at the highest level. At UFC 273, all eyes will be on Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan, who will compete for the Bantamweight title.

Recently, though, the interim Bantamweight champion Petr Yan faced a huge setback, as his team might not be present in his corner in a sudden turn of events.

With the world looking forward to the Sterling vs. Yan rematch, reports are pouring in that visas of Petr Yan’s team members have been denied by the US ahead of UFC 273. This is a devastating blow to the Russian and his team just weeks away from the fight.

While Yan’s team had their visas denied, the interim champ will still be allowed into the country and fight. This is a sticky position for any fighter, as they can’t just change teams out of the blue. Comfort and secret tactics to the fight games can’t be exchanged fluently with strangers this close to the fight. 

With less than a month left for the fight, the Russian interim champ of the UFC has his back cornered into a wall. It’s a pivotal moment of Yan’s career and he would have hoped to have his whole team with him. But all hopes may not be lost, however as an exceptional individual is in speculation to corner Yan for UFC 273.
