The Karate Combat promotion recently held its KC40 event in Miami and former UFC champion Luke Rockhold was in attendance. The American and former Karate Combat middleweight champion Ross Levine attempted the Power Cube challenge and broke the previous record set by Alex Pereira. Many fans have shared their reactions to it.

Luke Rockhold announced his retirement after his UFC 278 loss against Paulo Costa. Furthermore, he then transitioned to bare-knuckle fighting in BKFC but failed to make an impact in his first fight against Mike Perry. Now, it seems like Rockhold may have found another promotion to sink his teeth in.

Luke Rockhold breaks the Power Cube record set by Alex Pereira

The former UFC middleweight champion may not have had much luck in fighting recently. However, his reputation as a skillful fighter remains intact. Rockhold proved his mettle during an appearance at Karate Combat 40 after breaking the 90,000 score set by Alex Pereira on the Power Cube. He joined the group of fighters who had been trying to set some records on the cube.

Rockhold attempted a strong body kick and managed to get a score of 157,643. Furthermore, Karate Combat’s own, Ross Levine, made his attempt and garnered a score of 124,171. Both fighters broke ‘Poatan’s record. The fans on social media took notice of this kicking extravaganza in a post shared by the promotion on Twitter. Let us see what they had to say about Rockhold’s kicking power.

Fans react to Rockhold surpassing Pereira’s record

It didn’t amuse the fans to see Luke Rockhold break the record set by Alex Pereira, claiming that ‘Poatan’ can inflict some serious damage on both legs of a fighter.

Moreover, another fan commented that ‘Poatan’ didn’t try as much as Rockhold and Ross Levine, who gave everything they had.

Another person on Twitter mentioned that the former UFC fighter didn’t really need a boost to his ego for setting a Power Cube record.

One fan claimed that these stunts are “goofy” and Alex Pereira didn’t really care about it too much.

Moreover, they noticed Rockhold was trying much harder than ‘Poatan’ did in trying to grab a good score on the cube.

One fan recalled how much power Francis Ngannou has when he scored around 122,ooo with his hands.
