Twitter has seen a lot of Covid-19 misinformation floating around on its platform, which saw it banning users who share such information more often than not. However, Twitter CEO Elon Musk removed these policies in November 2022. Musk’s decision had a lot of medical professionals worried, believing that it might lead to some serious repercussions. However, his decision is still in effect. He recently shared a tweet which, in turn, was shared by UFC fighter Israel Adesanya on Instagram.

Musk highlighted the only means to fight misinformation. He wrote: “Best way to fight misinformation is to respond with accurate information, not censorship.” The CEO of Twitter claims that instead of suppressing what people have to say, the educated masses should take steps to help them understand the correct facts. They must not be silenced. Adesanya seemed to share the same sentiment and put that tweet out for his followers on social media.
