Recently, ‘The Eraser’ weighed in on the Smith-Rock Oscar incident with a funny twist.

Costa posted a meme video on his account. The video included a clip from the Oscar incident where actor Smith warned comedian Rock after the slap. He said, “Keep my wife’s name out of your f**king mouth.”

Further in the video, there is a famous line by the UFC legend Conor McGregor that became an instant hit. “Your wife is in me dm’s hey baby,” McGregor had said during his blockbuster trilogy with Dustin Poirier.

‘The Notorious’ suffered a gruesome leg injury during his trilogy with Poirier at UFC 264. He lost the fight via a knockout. This frustrated McGregor and he said those famous lines in the octagon interview with Joe Rogan.

Now it has become a highly used meme in the MMA community and Costa shared the same with the caption, “how can you not love this sh*t?”

Who is Paulo Costa fighting next?

The Brazilian is currently running on a two-fight skid in his UFC career. He lost a title fight in 2020. Later, he lost another match last year via a decision. Notably, he also faced issues making weight for his last fight.

Nevertheless, ‘The Eraser’ has an opponent next for his next UFC fight this year. It is none other than the famous middleweight fighter Luke Rockhold. Both the parties have verbally agreed to fight.

Interestingly, the promotion is also working to make this fight happen. The middleweight bout is targeted for a pay-per-view in July 2022. Costa’s next opponent, Rockhold, is also on a two-fight skid. Moreover, he is returning to action after a long hiatus.

Hence, this fight is a chance for both the middleweight combatants to map the way back to the win column and ultimately get close to the 185lbs title.
