How long does a fighter have to win before Dana White finally picks up the phone? That’s the question swirling around Aieza Bertolso. The 23-year-old Brazilian just stretched her undefeated streak to 20 with a submission win against Samara Santos at LFA 209. But while her resume reads like a UFC prospect’s dream with multiple amateur world titles, six pro wins, and a highlight reel full of chokes and chaos, her name still isn’t on a UFC contract. Of course, fans aren’t too happy with that.

According to an update by MMA Fighting on Instagram, it was revealed, “Top LFA prospect Aieza Bertolso hopes that 20-fight win streak leads to UFC deal”. So, who is Aieza Bertolso, and why should the MMA sphere remember the name? Born in the quiet town of Alto Taquari, Bertolso didn’t have much. But she had a dream and YouTube to guide her.

In an interview shared by MMA Fighting, she revealed, “Man, I loved watching Cris Cyborg fight. Even before she signed with the UFC, I kept watching YouTube videos of her training. I really, really like her. Amanda Nunes, too, when they fought I was like, ‘Wow’. I like Amanda, Ronda, Jessica Andrade, I watched Jessica a lot.”

Inspired by the women making a name for themselves in the world of combat sports, at 17, she packed her bags and moved to Rio. Her goal? Find a gym, get serious, and start building a legacy. What followed was a whirlwind: two IMMAF world titles and a flawless transition into the pro game. And yet, the UFC door remains closed.

Bertolso believes she’s ready as she confessed, “I feel ready to fight for the LFA title, or fight at the Contender, or even straight in the UFC because I already have huge experience. And that counts a lot. And regardless of where I fight next, I’m sure I’m more than ready to fly even higher in my career.”

With a 50% submission rate in the LFA and only 33% of her fights going to the judges’ scorecards, she’s not just winning, she’s dominating. So, why the silence from Dana White? Could it be timing? Maybe matchmaking? Or just the endless traffic jam of rising stars? That’s what the fans wanted to know as we take a look at what they had to say about Bertolso’s absence from the UFC head honcho’s talent radar!

One fan wrote, “20 FIGHT WIN STREAK NOT IN UFC? WHAT” The idea that someone could build such a streak across amateur and pro levels, with global experience, and still not have a UFC shot is baffling to the MMA faithful. Another added, How is she not already in the UFC? With that kind of winstreak, how is that even possible?” Bertolso’s record is as clean as it gets, no losses, no draws, and no easy opponents. Her latest win came against a seasoned veteran in Samara Santos, who once fought for the ONE Championship belt in 2018.

One more chimed in with, “I think she deserves a DWCS shot”. It’s the middle ground many fans are rallying for. Dana White’s Contender Series is built for fighters like Bertolso, hungry, tested, and ready to prove it under the bright lights. With names like Jamahal Hill, Sean O’Malley, and recently crowned welterweight champion, Jack Della Maddalena, all coming from the show, it could give her a path to the promotion. What do you think?

A supporter encouraged her as they wrote, She’s ready to all. Let’s go my friend, one more step to gold.” They’re not wrong. With submissions, decisions, and knockouts all under her belt, Aieza Bertolso has shown she can win in any way, anywhere. Whether it’s gold in the LFA or UFC, fans want to see her climb.

Built an ironclad record, captured amateur world titles, moved across the country to chase a dream, and delivered finishes that leave no doubt about her skill. The fans see it. The stats prove it.
