Tony “El Cucuy” Ferguson is one of the most entertaining fighters in the division. He previously held an impressive 12-win fight streak, which helped him clinch the interim lightweight title. However, ‘El Cucuy’ has recently faced a dip in form. He suffered six straight losses, including the first submission and knock-out losses of his career. In a recent YouTube video, Green was confident about Ferguson winning the fight. Having faced him previously, he feels the veteran has a warrior mentality. He also addressed the speculation about Ferguson retiring from the sport and gave his suggestion. He said, ‘He retires when he wants to retire, and don’t let anybody tell you different.’ Green also believes Ferguson needs a trainer like him to ensure he comes out on top and offers a helping hand.

Green extended his encouragement to his former rival and said, “Yeah. Yeah, nothing, but respect my friend. I would say keep going, kid, you know what I mean. Everybody is telling him to retire and stuff. I fought Tony, so I know what I was dealing with. Tony was never giving up; he was never gonna break. He had that warrior spirit. I think he is going to beat Paddy. Tony needs a sick guy like me who could tone his weirdness and put some basic things back, and he will be nice.”
