Almost a month after Raja Jackson brutally attacked Syko Stu at a KnockX Pro Wrestling event in Los Angeles, the 25-year-old MMA fighter was finally arrested on Thursday morning. Notably, Raja’s violent as*ault had sent Syko Stu, AKA Stuart Smith, to the hospital, where he was fighting for his life. The violent incident, captured on a Kick.com live stream, immediately drew the LAPD’s attention and sparked an investigation into possible as**ult charges, which ultimately ended up putting Jackson behind bars.

According to an exclusive report from TMZ Sports, Raja Jackson was taken into custody early in the morning after getting booked shortly before 2 p.m. local time. The 25-year-old has been booked on felony charges and is currently being held on $50,000 bond. “Jail records show he’s currently still behind bars … being held on a $50,000 bond,” the report said.
This development follows Raja’s father, Rampage Jackson’s own public comments, where he told Ariel Helwani that his son should face accountability. “He dishonored my name. I talked to him after this s–t happened and he hid the fact that he did this s–t and you know put my other kids at danger based off what other people said. I just can’t talk to him right now,” Rampage said previously while mentioning that Raja “should do a little time” in jail.

The UFC legend also wanted his son to take some anger management classes. However, Rampage dismissed the idea that Raja’s attack was an attempted m**der, claiming, “He wouldn’t try to kill that guy.” When pressed about how he knew that was the case, Jackson added, “Because that’s my son. I know my son.” The former UFC champion even added that Raja didn’t even know how badly he hurt Stuart Smith. He instead blamed the promoters.
“The promoters had no reason to put my son in that f—ing ring. But it was no attempted f—ing murder,” Rampage told Helwani. Since then, senior Jackson has been trying to repair his image.

The retired MMA legend has partnered with the Smile Back Foundation, a public charity that provides life-changing medical care to those who cannot afford it. Through this collaboration, he has shifted his focus toward philanthropy, specifically supporting restorative dental care for underserved communities.
Although there is no official word on whether this partnership is intended to repair Rampage’s public image, the timing has raised eyebrows nonetheless. His involvement with the charity comes just as his son faces legal trouble for as**ulting Syko Stu, leading some to view the move as an attempt at damage control for his reputation. Still, Jackson has been putting his own money into the cause and regularly encourages others to contribute through social media.

As for Syko Stu, he still has a long road of recovery. After being hospitalized, Smith was later discharged to continue his recovery at home. According to a September 2 report from People, Smith’s family shared that “he remains in good spirits despite everything he has been through.”
Having said that, apart from Smith, it appears Raja Jackson also has quite the journey ahead of him. However, what sort of punishment awaits him is yet to be seen.
