The noted UFC Welterweight, Khamzat Chimaev, is undoubtedly one of the most feared forces in the promotions Welterweight division. The 28-year-old hailing from Chechnya currently boasts the undefeated tag in the UFC. However, Chimaev has been criticized multiple times for his ties with the Chechnyan warlord, Ramzan Kadyrov. Recently, the famed UFC Fighter and US Special Forces soldier, Tim Kennedy, retweeted a video of ‘Borz’ having a casual sparring session with Kadyrov.

Tim Kennedy bashed the UFC for restricting the minor and ignoring the major issues
Kennedy, being a US soldier, was understandably disgusted to see the fighters of his own ex-organization having ties with such tyrannical people. The US Special Forces soldier captioned his retweet with harsh criticism for the UFC in an ironic tone.

His caption read, “Let me get this right… It’s totally fine that the UFC controls what a fighter wears on his shorts, whether or not they train with James Kraus, or what they do on their social media, but it’s totally fine for them to train with a terrorist.”

Kennedy thumped the UFC due to its over-restrictive nature as well. Earlier, UFC fighters were allowed to have their individual sponsors. But, later, the UFC curbed down on this harmless freedom of the fighters.

Tim Kennedy could have accused a number of other UFC fighters for the same reason
It’s pertinent to note that Chimaev is not the only one sharing bonds with the Chechnyan warlord. There are a handful of other noted UFC fighters who have been to Chechnya; to meet and greet the reported “terrorist”.

It appears that the famed Dominance MMA chief, Ali Abdelaziz, has some good connections with Kadyrov. A number of Dominance MMA fighters had already been to Chechnya as Kadyrov’s guests. It also includes a few heavy names like the former Welterweight Champion, Kamaru Usman, Justin Gaethje, and Henry Cejudo.

The president of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, is reported to be a dangerous person. He has been accused of war crimes, kidnappings, and a lot more. His reign over Chechnya may be called a dictatorship. Kadyrov is known for his attempts to silence literally any voice that is raised at him.

This problem within the UFC and Tim Kennedy’s complaints are both expected to increase if the UFC authorities maintain the same voiceless stance in this regard.
