Making his professional debut in 2001, Lawler quickly built a reputation for his knockout power and aggressive fighting style. Shortly after his departure from the UFC, Robbie Lawler took his talents to SuperBrawl in Hawaii, where he claimed the SuperBrawl middleweight championship by defeating Falaniko Vitale. Following that victory, he stepped into the cage at the KOTC: Xtreme Edge event, securing another dominant win by submitting Jeremy Brown in the first round.
