Fans react to Jon Jones’ opinion about Francis Ngannou
As reported by Mike Bohn, Jon Jones has backtracked on his earlier stance on Francis Ngannou. The fans have caught the former UFC light heavyweight champion for his words.
One fan said on Twitter that this is just a business tactic. Moreover, they also believe that Jones and Ngannou will be facing each other in the future too.
Come on Mikey this is business tactics! We all know Francis will be back, and if the stars align Jones vs Ngannou will be absolutely massive!

As per Mike Bohn, Jones initially said that he was happy for Ngannou but later on turned around and said that it was the heavyweight’s fault that their clash never happened.
Furthermore, one social media user pointed out that the question was posed to Jones in a different way.
The question was posed to him in a way that would invalidate his title win, so he had a more aggressive response.

Another fan added his opinion on the statements.
I’d bet he doesn’t mean this. I think his intent is to hype up a potential future mma/ boxing match. It’s all business.

However, one fan added while bashing Jones.
It’s almost like Jones might be a hypocrite, and rarely consistent or honest about what he says.

What was Jones’ earlier stance?
Earlier Jon Jones made a statement praising the former UFC heavyweight champion. Jones said about the ‘Predator’, ”I’m happy for Francis. I’m glad that Francis knows his worth. No man has a right to shame another man for fighting for his worth.” A confident and self-proclaimed ‘savage’ Jones had a difference in opinion recently.
Now ‘Bones’ made a backtracking remark on the former champion. He said, “Francis had the opportunity to face me and he opted out of the opportunity. If anyone should be criticized, it’s Francis Ngannou. If I’m correct, he was offered the biggest contract in heavyweight history. He had the opportunity to be a guy to dethrone me. He didn’t believe in himself. Francis didn’t believe in himself. He wasn’t willing to gamble on himself.”
