Elon Musk’s Claim on Fully Powered Solar Car Rejected on the Joe Rogan Experience

Joe Rogan recently released his #2117 episode of his famous JRE podcast. This time around, the 56-year-old invited Ray Kurzweil for a candid chat. Kurzweil is a scientist, futurist, principal researcher, and AI visionary at Google. The two-hour podcast covered many topics and gave fans a lot of information on solar energy.

During the conversation, the UFC color commentator shared how Elon Musk once made a claim about fully powered solar cars. The 76-year-old scientist then shared his thought process and gave the audience some vital information. Let us find out what he had to offer the viewers.

The JRE podcast always finds a way to keep its audience indulged by bringing up new topics. Rogan, this time round, discussed solar cars. While speaking to Ray Kurzweil, the 56-year-old mentioned how Elon Musk once predicted about not having a fully solar powered electric car. According to Musk, it is not possible to absorb that much power from the sun and there’s a physical limitation to that. While Rogan believed it to be true, he was given a reality check by the 76-year-old.

Kurzweil, after listening to the 56-year-old, said, “No I mean it’s increased 99.7% since we started. I mean, you might have to store it we’re also making exponential gains in storage of electricity. So you don’t have to get it all from a solar panel that fits in a car. It’s not there yet, but it will be there in 10 years. Well, you are not gonna be able to get it all from the solar panel that fits in a car .You are going to have to store some of that energy. “

Kurzweil made some serious claims and it will be interesting to see whether it happens. Rogan once again brought up a unique topic in his discussion and kept the audience engaged. The 56-year-old doesn’t shy away from praising Elon Musk and in one of his podcast he credited the CEO of Tesla for bringing back technology.

Joe Rogan previously invited Aaron Rodgers for his #2009 episode of his JRE podcast. During the conversation, the pair discussed how electric motors took over despite facing a lot of criticism. The 56-year-old UFC color commentator also mentioned about the documentary “Who Killed the Electric Car”and discussed how the concept was discarded way back in the 90s and early 2000s. Rogan then credited Elon Musk for bringing back technology back into their lives.

He said, “But if it wasn’t for Elon Musk, how long would it take before we figured out an electric car? You know, I mean, Elon was a part of Tesla early on, and Tesla’s been around I mean, I remember the first time I saw a Tesla. God, I feel like it was like the early 2000s.” Rogan doesn’t shy away from showing his appreciation for Elon Musk and has been always been vocal about it. The CEO of Tesla also finds a way to revert back to the appreciation he receives from the JRE host.
