‘Real Deal’ Elon Musk Gets Featured as Conor McGregor After Monumental $44 Billion Twitter Takeover

Paulo ‘The Eraser’ Costa is one of the most active UFC fighters on social media, relentlessly posting memes and engaging with his fans. The former middleweight title contender has never shied away from sharing what he finds funny, even if it is controversial.

Costa recently shared a meme captioned “Real Deal”, mocking the ongoing twitter-war situation. In the meme, we see the face of multi-billionaire Elon Musk photoshopped onto the body of UFC superstar Conor McGregor. We see him doing the well-known McGregor walk. We can also see the face of Twitter CEO, Parag Agarwal being photoshopped in the crowd. Alongside him are the photoshopped faces of civil-rights activist Shaun King and another female Twitter employee.

Costa has been a big fan of Musk in this whole Twitter situation. He has shown his continuous support multiple times on social media, after the billionaire bought out Twitter in a 44 billion dollars deal.

The Bitter-Sweet Career of Costa

Costa first fought in the UFC back in 2017. His aggressive fighting style stood out in the division and caught the attention of the fans. He quickly powered through the rankings, defeating top-ranked opponents like Johny Hendricks and Uriah Hall.

Costa’s meteoric rise in the UFC earned him a title shot against Israel Adesanya in 2020. From then on, his career went sideways, as he was unable to grab the title. He believed that the weight cut was a big reason for this loss. Costa then jumped up to light heavyweight to fight his next opponent. He took on the likes of Marvin Vettori and could not come out on top. With these losses, he now has a combined record of 13-2-0.

The Lesser Known Journey of Israel Adesanya Before UFC

Costa has publically hinted at his return several times on his social media. He eyes a revenge bout against Vettori, which the UFC has not yet confirmed. Even if this fight doesn’t get booked, plenty of other matchups could make sense for him. A good deal of fighters have their eyes on the Brazilian. For example, big shot Luke Rockhold has publically called him out using the word ‘Broken’ to describe Costa.
