Referee, Who Previously Allowed Horrific Injury, Gets Dragged Into Controversy Along With Dan Miragliotta as UFC Champion & Fans Call Them Out for Andrea Lee- Maycee Barber Decision

Maycee Barber beat Andrea Lee via a split decision in their clash at UFC San Antonio. The flyweights had a close contest that went the full distance. In the end, the judges gave the nod to Barber.

Barber came into the fight with a three-fight winning streak. She had previously beaten Miranda Maverick, Montana De La Rosa, and Jessica Eye. Andrea Lee, however, had lost her previous bout against Viviane Araujo.

Fans react to Maycee Barber’s SD win at UFC San Antonio

Barber and Lee gave it their best over three rounds. Hence, a close decision was not surprising for anyone. However, the scorecards created controversy and had many fans in disagreement. While both fighters shared a 29-28 card each in their favor, a third judge, Dan Miragliotta, gave a 30-27 for Barber.

This card made the difference and won her the fight. However, several fans and pros disagreed with the score. They took their frustration with the scoring to Twitter.

Furthermore, referee Frank Collazo, who was recently in the news for horrible officiating at Fury FC, was also one of the judges that voted in favor of Barber.
