Despite the odds, Moicano fought with an injured shoulder in his last battle against Benoit-Saint Deis at UFC Paris. The Brazilian injured his shoulder three weeks before the fight and entered the Octagon with a bump on his shoulder. Although fighting with the injury was risky, Moicano showed levels in that fight as he battered ‘God of War’ so badly that the doctors had to stop the match in the second round.

After the clash, the Brazilian fighter, through his X handle, revealed the severity of the injury. The UFC CEO Dana White later praised Moicano and promised him that the UFC would look after him. Now it appears that the UFC head honcho has unintentionally given the Brazilian fighter the biggest fight of his career. Well, it’s been months since the injury and Moicano is ready to fight again. With a career record of 20 victories and five defeats, Renato Moicano is one of the best lightweights in the UFC division right now. “Now, for the new main event, I think Moicano has a lot of experience—how many? Like 10 or 11 years in the UFC. He’s on a four-fight win streak, and he’s in his prime. You know, it’s a good fight. Of course, it’s not like Arman and Islam, but it’s still a very competitive fight, and we’re not going to underestimate this guy,” said ‘The Eagle’.

Despite the supposed injury, Renato Moicano seems ready to take on Islam Makhachev. But then again, in the game of the fight, nothing can be predicted. Regardless what’s your take on the fight? Who will win the headliner of UFC 311? State your thoughts in the comments below.
