There is no doubt that several UFC fighters follow other sports as well. UFC fighter Conor McGregor is a soccer enthusiast and even dreams of owning a soccer team. Similarly, retired UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov, too, follows soccer. Both the athletes also seem to share a great relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo.

In a few videos available online, Khabib can also be seen showing off his skills.

While the Russian may have retired from MMA, he is still an athlete. He coaches his teammates and corners them during their fights. Apart from this, a while ago, there were several reports of him signing a contract with FC Legion Dynamo and becoming a professional soccer player.

However, he later clarified that he did not sign any contract. It turns out Khabib has close relations with Legion Dynamo, but does not intend to step onto the field. He also revealed that he has received offers but doesn’t think he is in shape for the sport.

His passion for the sport is evident. Hence, when ‘433’ asked on Instagram about who deserved the ‘Most Underrated Player’ award, Khabib commented, “Mahrez.”

It looks like several Instagram users agreed with him because of his answer, as his comment received thousands of likes.

Apart from MMA and soccer, Khabib also plays basketball. In an older video, the former lightweight champion was seen playing basketball along with his father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, and others.

Apart from coaching and working with his Russian teammates, Khabib Nurmagomedov also owns his own promotion called ‘Eagle FC’. The young promotion has a few former UFC fighters on board like Diego Sanchez and Kevin Lee. Hence, the promotion seems to be quite promising with some great fights.
