Jon ‘Bones’ Jones is about to return to the Octagon soon as he has started training after the pectoral injury that happened to him last year and it seems like the first fight that the heavyweight champ wants is the dual-weight champion, Alex Pereira.

The heavyweight champion took to his social media handle to ask a question. “Who would you guys want to see me fight the most, Alex or Tom?”. The community stated that any of those fights make sense but seems like Jones is willing to fight Pereira rather than Aspinall. The sudden back and forth between Jones and Pereira has struck some rumors about their fight.

Alex Pereira in his latest escapade has come forward to address the peculiar situation he is in. “After my last fight. I said I wanted to fight heavyweight but had no answer so I kind of forgot it and my plans have changed but there was this message from Jon Jones last night so I don’t know if things might change. Becoming a three-division champ is very hard and not many people try it but if I had that opportunity, I just want to bring joy to everyone and a better life for my family,” said Pereira in a conversation with via UFC 301 Q&A. Fans give a fiery response to Alex Pereira and Jon Jones fight talks

Jon Jones seems to be cooking again and this time it would be deciding the fate of the heavyweight division in UFC. Well, the heavyweight division of the UFC is in the doldrums. ‘Bones’ is the champion of the division, however, he is reluctant to fight the interim champion Tom Aspinall to unify the belt and is very interested in a fight against Stipe Miocic. And a fan was quick to point that out: “This is just another way jones has found to avoid Aspinall.”

Tom Aspinall has been calling out both Stipe Miocic and Jon Jones for a fight but none of them seems to be interested in facing the young heavyweight. A similar theme was noticed among the fans, wherein, another noted, “Jones will do anything to avoid fighting Tom.”

Regardless, the inception of Alex Pereira in the frame might be changing some plans for the heavyweight champion. Yet, a fan reminded Pereira that Jon Jones was just using him to avoid any confrontation with Tom Aspinall: “He sees you as an easy alternative to Tom little bro.”

Despite being the interim heavyweight champion of the world, Aspinall is yet to have any conversation about the title fight. There’s a high probability that Aspinall is likely to face Curtis Blaydes to defend his interim belt and well this seems to have made the fans angry with the heavyweight champion and ‘ducking’ allegations are at an all-time high: “Bones doesn’t want @tomaspinallofficial.”

But that could be not the end of it, as another MMA enthusiast had an interesting idea for the UFC admins: They should do Tom vs Alex on the same card as Jones vs Stipe.”

Last but not least, finally, one came out in support of Pereira vs. Jones match affirming that Jones would fold Pereira real quick: Jones would dispatch him fairly quick.” Although there is animosity among the fans for the clash between Jon Jones and Alex Pereira, things seem to be working in the favour of the heavyweight champion.
