The lightweight division is one of the UFC’s hottest divisions. We have witnessed the greatest of rivalries alongside endless drama in this division. Recently, an interesting turn of events took place as foes Conor McGregor and former lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov took to social media to bash fellow contender Tony ‘El Cucuy’ Ferguson.

With UFC 274 approaching quickly, former dual champion Daniel Cormier hosted a one-on-one interview with Ferguson. The two talked about a cluster of topics. Ferguson’s response to some of the questions didn’t sit well with Nurmagomedov.

 

Throughout the interview, Ferguson took jabs at Nurmagomedov, calling him a “p**sy” and showing other kinds of disrespect. Cormier posted this clip on Instagram, which sparked a response from the Dagestani. He commented, “Last 3 years, Tony has not won a single round in the UFC. Leave me alone and focus on yourself stupid guy.”

Ferguson, in another presser, also went off on UFC president Dana White, comparing him to “drug dealers.” It is a no-brainer that the two haven’t had the smoothest of relationships. Conor McGregor seemed upset by these comments as he took to Twitter the next day.

He tweeted, “Tony Ferguson, who changes representation around 4 times a year, is saying it’s someone else fault he is in the position he is in. How many bridges do you burn before you look yourself in the mirror and say “maybe it’s me that’s the issue.”God bless you pal, I’ll say a prayer.” He has now deleted this tweet.
