As the UFC 313 prelims draw to a close, discontent seems to be the prevailing emotion among fans – and it was there from the get go. Following the one-hour delay because of fallen fights, UFC 313 began with only one fight in the early prelims. And that was the fight between Djorden Santos and Ozzy Diaz. While the fighting realm sided with Santos to win, it was Diaz who secured the win via a unanimous decision. Of course, the fighting community wasn’t content with the decision.

Entering the bout with a 5-fight win streak, fight fans certainly believed that the Brazilian would be the one to win. But things were a bit too different in reality. Rightfully, and as usual. fans called for Dana White to step up and address this issue.

The fight between Santos and Diaz began with a bang and a couple of feints. However, the crowd at T-Mobile Arena continuously booed at the featherweight contenders as they seemed to be engaged in a sparring bout in the Octagon. Diaz stepped into the Octagon at UFC 313 with a record of 9-3, with 100% finish rate. On the other hand, Santos came up with 10 wins and just 1 defeat on his record. The stakes were indeed high. Nevertheless, the fighters were content with the audience’s response and kept on the striking game with the win in their minds.

As per the official UFC scorecard for UFC 313, Eric Colon, Chris Lee, and Tony Weeks scored the bout 28-29 in favor of Diaz. According to the judges, Diaz scored 10 points in the second and third rounds, while Santos won 10 points in the first round. Well, as per most fight fans, it was Santos who should have won the second round. And that’s the emotion that dominated the social media posts regarding the bout.

Djorden was not the only Santos on the receiving end of a controversial decision tonight. A few fights later, Mairon Santos earned a decision win over Francis Marshall. Except this time, everyone from the commentary trio of Jon Anik, Joe Rogan, and Daniel Cormier, to the fans in the arena and social media, agreed it was a bad call.

As soon as the UFC revealed the official scorecard for the bout between Santos and Diaz, the fighting community swooped into the comments section and revealed their thoughts.

Fans call out Dana White for robbery at UFC 313

Needless to say, most fight fans deemed the decision to have robbed Santos of a well-deserving win. A fan claimed that it was indeed the “1st robbery of 2025.” Another fan commented, “Another robbery, why expect anything less these days.” The fighting community did call Dana White to make things right. But the judge’s decision was final, and the UFC head honcho, despite having so much authority, was left powerless.

Some of the fans believed that the judges should be investigated. One fan wrote, “Open investigation on all judges because no way Diaz won 2 rounds.” The people were simply wondering how Diaz won 2 rounds with the kind of performance that he showed. And one way for the UFC to make things right was to put the judges in front of the press. A fan pointed this out and wrote, “How the hell do you score round 2 for Diaz? Got out struck by damn near 20 significant strikes and Santis had the more visually damaging blows. Robbery for sure. Judges need to face the press.” Well, as per the stats, Diaz actually had landed more strikes. The number went to 135 strikes. On the other hand, Santos had landed 131 strikes. Apart from that, the Brazilian did succeed in securing a takedown. It was indeed a close call, but the judges seemed to be doing their job well enough.

However, the bashings for the judges were never-ending. Some of the fans even believed that the next best move for the fight promotion was to let the current judges go and hire new ones to score the cards. One fan wrote, “Idiot judges. They need new ones so bad.” Meanwhile, another fan commented, “Just clear out the judges and get new ones.”
