Yes, in 2015 many fight fans trolled Jada Pinkett Smith for her hairstyle. It happened after the latter met the famous female former UFC fighter, Ronda Rousey, backstage at UFC 184 in California.

‘Rowdy’ had just successfully defended her women’s bantamweight title against one tough opponent, Cat Zingano, in the main event of UFC 184. Rousey finished her opponent in just 14 seconds of the first round. Later, the Hollywood actor Jada congratulated her in person.
Their meeting was captured and uploaded on the official Twitter page of UFC with the caption, “Jada Pinkett Smith congratulates @RondaRousey on her impressive victory at #UFC184.”

While ignoring the point of the post, many fans turned their attention toward Rousey’s facial expression. Rousey’s face looked as if she had seen something distasteful.

Fans missed the context of the post on UFC’s page in 2015 and started trolling the Hollywood actor for her hairstyle in the comments section. There would have been a different reaction if this happened today when the world is on the internet. However, it was 2015, hence it went unnoticed.
