US President-elect Donald Trump seems to be busier than ever after his historic win in the 2024 elections. But it seems like he’s planning to get some free time to witness the Madison Square Garden PPV on November 16. This revelation came to the fore from undefeated UFC middleweight star Bo Nickal, who claimed that Trump had personally informed him about making a possible appearance at UFC 309.

Bo Nickal returns to action this weekend against veteran Paul Craig on the Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic headliner. The former NCAA champion had a chat with Ariel Helwani on the latter’s YouTube channel regarding his upcoming fight, where he revealed his conversation with Donald Trump days before his bout. “I think he’s gonna be there. He told me a couple of times that he’s gonna be there,” said Bo Nickal“He’s the president… I’m sure that if he’s not there [at UFC 309], there was something else that was more important.”

Nickal seems to be one of Donald Trump’s favorite UFC fighters, and he’s shown that many times, particularly during his ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ debut. While explaining how surviving the assassination attempts a few months ago made him “tough,” the president-elect showered praise on the 28-year-old prodigy. “Bo Nickal, he’s a great fighter… I think he’s terrific,” Trump told Joe Rogan.

Besides, Donald Trump may have another reason why he’s decided to drop by Madison Square Garden at UFC 309, which could involve Dana White, a constant supporter of the 78-year-old. The UFC CEO has been recently speculated to making a political move given that Trump’s now in power.

Could Dana White join Donald Trump’s presidential team?

Donald Trump and Dana White have been friends for decades, and the UFC head honcho has never shied away from talking about the time when the president-elect helped him during dire financial times with the UFC. The 55-year-old would even endorse Trump, just like Joe Rogan, during the elections, which got people to wonder if White was planning to make a jump to politics as well.

However, he has opened up and given his take on these speculations, claiming that there are no such plans for him to leave his duties as the UFC’s head honcho. “Donald Trump is one of my very good friends. He did a great job in his last term as President, and I know he will do an even better job in the next four years. I have no personal political aspirations,” Dana White told ‘Sports Business Journal’.

The 55-year-old has heavily invested himself in more than one promotion in more than one particular sport. With Power Slap and UFC running non-stop throughout the year, a political move for White is highly unlikely. Nevertheless, do you think Donald Trump is going to be there at Madison Square Garden?
