Talking to MMA Junkie, ‘The Korean Zombie’ opened up on his loss to Brian Ortega. He revealed how it turned out to be the most ‘mentally challenging’ fight for him. Furthermore, the former title challenger let the world know about his choice of opponent.
Via a translator, he said, “I want Zabit (Magomedsharipov). That’s the fight that’s going to get me closest to a title shot. More than that, I want to once again try to prove myself against one of the hottest fighters in the division and prove that I’m still capable of competing at the highest level.”
However, he could get a fight against Hall whose Tweet screams out akin to a challenge.
Is Ryan Hall targeting ‘The Korean Zombie’?
The southpaw Ryan Hall last fought in July 2019. He is undefeated in the UFC and holds an 8-1 pro-MMA record. In the UFC featherweight, he has beaten the likes of B. J. Penn, Darren Elkins, Gray Maynard, and Artem Lobov. ‘The Wizard’ will be desperate to climb up the featherweight rankings, and a win over Jung would be an ideal way to do so.
