Dana White is making waves on social media yet again. American Anchor Sage Steele recently hosted the UFC CEO for an interview on ‘The Sage Steele Show.‘ The 54-year-old promoter was her inaugural guest, but she seemed to have been oblivious to White’s identity and mistook him for longtime UFC commentator and podcast host, Joe Rogan.

The aforementioned incident appeared to be an embarrassing situation for not only Sage Steele but also for Dana White. He seemed confused and was clearly taken aback for getting misrecognized. Nevertheless, Steele wasn’t going to stay silent about it and issued a statement regarding the incident on X.

Sage Steels ‘owns’ her mistake

The former ESPN anchor recently collaborated with Bill Maher’s Club Random Studios for her new show, and she did not take much time to make headlines. In her statement following the incident, she mentioned not being too proud for mistaking the identities of two bald men, Dana White and Joe Rogan, who happen to be colleagues at the same time. Steele even admitted that she could have omitted that embarrassing part from the video if she wanted to, but she had to ‘own’ her mistake.

“Lol! I coulda had them edit it out but I don’t take myself that seriously… gotta own it,” wrote Sage Steele. Nevertheless, she doesn’t think it was that much of a fuss, while another notable moment took place on the debut episode of the show. Dana White apparently came face-to-face with Howie Mandel, the person he walked out on.

Dana White and Howie Mandel meet after infamous ‘walkout’ incident

As we all know, Dana White walked out of Howie Mandel’s podcast, ‘Howie Mandel Does Stuff‘, claiming that he was tired of doing podcast appearances, which did not seem to be true. Meanwhile, when the UFC CEO was nearing the end of his interview with Sage Steele, Mandel suddenly showed up from out of nowhere and surprised White.

Dana White seemed pleasantly surprised and went ahead to shake hands with Howie Mandel when the latter revealed that he only considers fist bumps. They had a conversation with Dana White telling him about the mistaken identity incident, but the pair did not seem to talk about the real reason why the 54-year-old walked out of Mandel’s podcast.
